I was more than surprised yesterday after returning from shopping having purchased two popular must-see DVD’s for 25 cents each. Yes, folks, first run pirated flicks are all over the place, and in fact one could barely buy a standard commercial DVD if one tried. They are just not easily available here, and if so the cost would be into the $7.00 to $13.00 range. Less than thirty cents is quite a bargain, and once more, not like in the old days, the copies are clear, the audio good, just like the originals. The higher priced standard DVD’s are not plentiful in this part of Asia except in Singapore where they have sturdy anti-pirating laws.
