As reported on this Blog ten days ago while swimming near my seaside apartment in the Malacca strait not far from Singapore, I found a floating suitcase with a Malaysian Flight MH-370 baggage tag attached to it. Examining the contents, the articles appeared mostly made in China and so apparently the owner was one of the passengers on the ill-fated flight.
Of course, I immediately reported my find to authorities and was referred to The Aircraft Search Coordination Center in Kuala Lumpur, and the call shortly transferred to Perth, Australia. After my excited description to an Australian Lassie I was told to hold on and not to report the discovery to anyone else, and retain the information as “strictly confidential.”
Chuckling she said “Hey, you are our third caller reporting such an important find in the Straits and that’s just great. This could be your lucky day, Ron.”…
