Now that the dust has partly settled on Gaze for the third time in six years what do we see, and what is the cost?
We sadly observe 1,989 Palestinians deaths. Inclusive in this figure are the 15 killed during demonstrations in the West Bank and Israel in support of Hamas. The U. N. estimates seventy-five percent of the individuals destroyed by the Israeli war machine were civilians and of those approximately 30% were Children. Overall 16,000 Gazans were wounded, nearly 10,000 homes destroyed, approximately 30,000 damaged, and 1,440 schools and public facilities demolished as well as 14 healthCare Centers gone, 29 ambulances damaged or destroyed. Further, a Muslim Univerary was destroyed and the Central Power Plant turned into ruble leaving community with nonexistent or extremely limited electricity, water, and waste disposal capability.
