Jesse Jackson once referred to New York City as “Hyme Town” and comedians have often joked that in New York “If you are not Jewish…You’re Jewish!” The home of the American bagel is undoubtedly a huge center of Jewish money, culture, and influence. There are more ethnic Jews and those who have intermarried with Gentiles in New York City than in Israel.
To their credit during the past century the Jewish immigrant population in America has taken to “Free Enterprise” the capitalist system, like fish to water or birds to the air. Overall this has been an extremely beneficial period for them and for the rest of us folks who are not of the Hebrew faith. But times are “of a changing.” There is a creeping dislike for the arrogant policies of the Israeli government and the love affair between the U. S. Congress, American people, and Israel…
