Good morning in the U. S. A.
This is one of the most heart-rendering letters I’ve ever read. I’m sure you will read it with a tinge of saddened emotion like I did. It is a lamentable summary of a young patriotic American volunteer soldier’s life misdirected into years of agonizing pain, and finally death.
I vividly recall, the second debate between Al Gore and George Bush when the mediator ask the question, “Who do you most respect in history and want to emulate in your life?
