Greeting Readers:
I’m sure social scientists will agree there is no more heinous crime than murder by strangulation and stabbing. The perpetrator must be determined and extremely hateful toward the victim. It is a close-up and personal act with one’s complete knowledge and intent to kill, to feel the last gasp of breath or the deep penetration of a blade into the body of the targeted victim. It can be deliberately planned or arbitrarily executed and usually performed at the moment of peak anger. This is what 60 years of illegal, brutal, and racist Israeli occupation has brought.
How did these recent vicious acts develop and what is their origin and background: “In the wake of recent restrictions by the Israeli government on the site the Jews call the Temple mount, and Muslims refer to it as the Noble Sanctuary which includes the holy Al Aqsa Mosque one year ago, Palestine President Malmoud Abbas called the decision an act of Declared War.” The closure lasted only one day. Less than two weeks ago the closure to Muslim worshippers was reinstated.
Since that reinstatement there have been dozens of stabbings and demonstrations mostly Palestinians vs. Israeli citizens, but not all. Retaliations by police, individuals, and the IDF has been swift utilizing not only rubber bullet, and tear gas, but the authority to use lethal fire “when necessary.” Over 50 Palestinians have died at the hands of security forces and tens of “terrorist” homes have been leveled by the IDF in retaliation for the uprising. To add to the mix two Hamas rockets have been fired into Israel.
One of the most gruesome incidents occurred at the border fence of Gaze when 8 unharmed demonstrators out of 200 were gunned down for advancing, throwing stones, and rolling burning tires at the border guards. In another, a 15-year-old Arab boy stabbed to death an Israeli. Readers, these savage incidence go on and on, and I’ve no space nor complete details for most of these incidents. Use your common sense and follow news closely. Most network news has not been bias.
The present conflict’s background began in the late 1940’s when after the World War imperialism and colonialism quickly faded. Multi-nations became independent by throwing off the shackles of a war-weary Europe, although there were a few hangers-on tied unhappily to their oppressors namely two French possession Algeria and Vietnam. Counter to this trend was a ravenous Israel taking advantage of the lull and the Western guilt of the Holocaust. The world looked away, and ignored the cruel, inhuman invasion, and the occupation of what was once a peaceful agrarian Palestine.
The current occupation of Palestine and the repression of its people is the only existing imperialist crime against humanity and International justice on the planet today. Nations and people often turn a blind eye to this flagrant example of old style violent aggression. As I have written that imperialism went out of vogue after the war, but not for this small ravenous Zionist nation. The bloody assaults of 1948 and 1967 have several fathers. Initially the Zionist cabal, and immediately thereafter the United States and the European nations, that over time, stood by for decades allowing Israel to behave as an arrogant spoiled recipient of aid and political support. (The Jews took the tract Westerners owe us, and since we’ve paid generously)
The ability of the Israel Zionist to take what it can without limitation and repay nothing in return is boundless. One would have to search diligently to find a less appreciative arrogant, selfish, haughty, self-centered group of racist leaders in any modern state. But, what is to be done? No one knows for certain. The United Nations and a variety of knowledgable well intended organizations have attempted to reverse the deplorable conflict but it hangs over the world like a dark cloud. The Israelis and their powerful wealthy International Jewish clique have prevented the solution of a well-regarded two states solution with one of them a free independent Palestine. For the hard-boiled Zionists to return what they have illegally taken is nearly impossible. The final outcome is a moot question with unfortunately no end in sight. (Power and money talks, while diplomacy walks)
The world community can only hope, only hope Israel will reverse its self-destructive policies and cooperate with others determined to recoup justice for a long-suffering people. To paraphrase the great religious figure Moses, Moses’s demand to the Egypt Pharaoh “Let my people go.” The Palestinians shout those same words but to deaf ears. It is therefore up to the Jewish and American people to allow Palestinians to pursue a free, independent, and decent life.
All the Best.
