    • Comparative International and U. S. News Media Runners.

Posted at 2:03 am by ronaldstanleymiller, roguedinosur.wordpress.com, on December 26, 2015

      Greetings Readers:

First I certainly hope you’ve had a nice Christmas and will have a prosperous New Year just ahead. This article will not seem compliant with the holiday spirit, but may prove to be of some interest.

Readers of the Network news and other Media outlets frequently don’t get the whole picture as it is reported overseas.  Here I’ve gleaned the runners from Asian and European networks that indicate there is a difference. The foreign news appears to include reports the American Media does not or overlooks, unless one searches for them.

Here are a few Runner Items as examples:

The Spanish Parliament voted to recognized Palestine as a free state. It is the 138th U.N. member to do so. (Reported on French Network 24)

One hundred and fifty thousand  Indonesian troops  mobilized  after creditable ISIS attack warnings against Christians and Shiites, 10 arrests made. (reported on Asian Network News, later FOx)

Terrorist may have already entered Jakarta. (Network Asia)

Israel-Palestine clashes in the West Bank, three attacks, two Palestinians shot dead.

Iran compensates U. S. hostages after decades of negotiations (Only Channel News Asia)

Israeli U. S. Ambassador sends holiday gifts to members of U. N.  consisting of products made in the illegally occupied West Bank Settlements. (French Channel 24)

Russia to build  two nuclear reactors for the Iran in 2016. Russia supports its allies as the U. S. does its own. (European Channels)

Russia, India cement ties on energy and defense deals.

      AND:

Iraq forces retake Ramadi. Old guerrilla ploy in progress, fight and withdraw if faced with overwhelming force arraigned against you. (Notice had time to plant booby traps)

Taliban forces withdraw from Sanagin in Afghanistan. Another guerrilla like move.  The afghan  war can go on forever. Bush W. had to jump in with both feet over national emotions, anger, and revenge after 9-11. Should have been a 100 day campaign to rid Al Qaida  base strong hold. (To be fair, the American People called for the intervention and may not have taken less, still clearer heads could have been used on long term strategy)

Fifteen charged with lynching over a Muslim eating beef. Millions of cows roam free in India, are fed and nurtured but they cannot be eaten. “There are more cows in India they cars in the U. S., 280 million.  Muslims are just as ridiculous about not, not eating pork.

British and  U. S. Embassies in Beijing warned of terrorist threats. What a difference a couple of phone calls can make. I recall Stevie Wonder singing. “No New Years Eve, to celebrate, no chocolate candy hearts to give away, not first of Spring, no robins sing, It’s just an ordinary day…. I just called to say I love you. I just called to say how much I care.” ISIS.

Amnesty International accuses Russia of 200 killing Civilians. Yes, the Bear has vicious claws since the Vikings sailed down the Moscow River a thousand years ago . The Bloody Scythians are regarded as the most violent tribe in the history of Massacres, and Stalin killed more people than Hitler.

Peace be with you on this Holiday Season, and all the Best.

      Ron.

    • The Strange War-like Republican Debates

Posted at 8:40 am by ronaldstanleymiller, roguedinosur.wordpress.com, on December 21, 2015

      Greetings Readers:

From the point of view of an outsider looking in from an Asian country it amazes how misguided, strategically uninformed, and warmongering  the Republican Candidates have proven to be. They don’t seem to realize where we came from and where we’re going. They’re full of bad news. Republicans disregard the overall economic, political, and military strength of America.

Not one word about the lowest gasoline prices in four years, of the unemployment rate falling below 4.5 % in 35 states, and the lowest death rate among American servicemen, that we know of, who died in combat and can be counted on one of your hands.

Not one mention of appreciation for the excellent job Obama accomplished lifting the economy from the worst recession since the 1930’s. To mention such a fact is anthem for any one of the candidates. Yes, I know it’s a solely, entirely a Republican debate, but even so something good must have happened these past eight years.

There is discussion of increasing defense spending, of further commitments toward war with ISIS. The defense cost would easily apply to China or Russia at a later period. The candidates refer to a ‘Push Back” against these two nations who for the most part participate within their own sphere of influence and responsibility. The Republicans debate of making America ‘Great again?” We are great and are already a great nation.

Each debater is an advocate of conflict and war not less of each. It is a dangerous field of potential abusers of  political and military authority. I see them as part of the problem bearing no solution but the beginning of more Middle East interventionism. A peacemaker among the is as rare as a four-leaf clover.

Most of what I hear and see is absolutely ridiculous: Pataki, Cruz, Graham are for ‘No Fly Zones.” When Pataki was asked  “What if a Russian aircraft is shot down? His reply was “Yes, shoot down a Russian plane and I guarantee Putin would back off.” There are no such guarantees.

Graham, Huckabee want to deploy 20,000 U. S. boots on the ground, 10,000. Iraq, 10,000 in Syria. Sounds like we’re off to another start as during the Surge. Only a temporary measure, lasting a year, and then the quagmire.

One stated “It all began when Obama allowed Putin to invade the Crimea.”

Most of the debaters quoted lines which are becoming familiar in their campaign. ‘Many Americans are outraged, angered, and scared.’ I ask you can it be that bad, have we lost our good old American Grit? I think not. During the Second World War the U. S fielded 14,000,000 service men and women, fought on two vast fronts against multi hundreds of crack divisions, against thousands of  tanks, ships, and  aircraft. The ISIS and ISL have at best a 35,000 force with 80,000 supporters and volunteers. Their missions are to induce the U. S. into the their ideological  battle, and panic and frustrate the American people. So far the panic strategy may be working. There have been three major attacks since 9-11, and of course a recent lone-wolf  San Bernardino attack that totals only 89 Americans killed on U. S. soil.

At the preliminary debate Graham was quoted as say, “I cannot see what all the fuss is about George W. Bush” I admire him and thought he was a good president.”  It’s no wonder the politician is polling at only 2%.

The newly formed  34 nation coalition led by Saudi Arabia does mention in its charter ISIS, only the words “To Fight Terror.”  Why?  The Coalition was not formed to target Sunni ISIS, but the hated apostate Shiite Sect which governs in Iran, Iraq, and Syria.

      All the Best.

      Ron.

    • Notes off the Shabby Cuff (3)

Posted at 10:31 am by ronaldstanleymiller, roguedinosur.wordpress.com, on December 6, 2015

      Greetings Readers

What was the big deal? It took 30 hours for the FBI and President Obama to officially confirm the California shooting, killing 14 innocent people, was a terrorist act. I knew pretty well, and most people did too, within minutes it was judging by the weaponry used, and the participation of a female. The days of the Weathermen, Germany’s Red Army, and the Baeder-Minhof gang were over in the 1970-80’s when women were prominent in insurgent revolutionary movements. Presently women participate… at least occasionally in the West.

Dozens of Muslim females have taken up arms and participate in terrorist acts in the name of God, usually misled foils as pack carrying suicide bombers: Iraq, Africa, and Pakistan. These suicide bombers are always, always of the populace Sunni Sect and not the Shiites denomination. Sunnis have a proclivity to suicide for their Allah, but not for personal individual motivations

Next, there is a question of motivation, why did they do it? Was it anger at co-workers, etc.; however, as authorities quickly found military weaponry, 3,400 rounds of ammunition, 12 pipe bombs, a store of bomb making equipment it seemed to me and others conclusive proof of a ISIS connection somewhere, someplace. They were not trying to bake the perfect pizza. It was plain as the nose on one’s face.

Late on the second day it was revealed of  the visits to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the marriage, the swearing-in of alliance to ISIS’s similar values on Facebook. So why the delay, didn’t the government know by that time? FOx knew immediately and reported it promptly beating out the drawn out delay by CNN and other networks.  Unfortunately the couple was not under surveillance or a watch list. They’re background surprisingly unclear. It’s amazing to me how they planned and prepared for the attack without anyone knowing.

American political powers-to-be desire conflict and will keep this sad event alive for their own nefarious motives. But, this was no Pearl Harbor or the 9-11 New York Towers, the attack was comparatively one of the many that take place in the world daily if  you are closely attuned to the networks and printed word. It is a wonder to me how this tragic event can and is manipulated into a call for War. Candidate Ted Cruz thinks so: “What this country needs is WAR Commander.”

How can seven (7) terrorists in Paris and two (2) in San Bernardino, California realistically start a war? We are discussing serious worldwide measures. Nine religious crazies should not affect the current strategy  in place by the Obama Administration. The  U. S. is in, committed, for the long haul, no matter how long it takes. The important part of the strategy is to avoid American casualties and allow the countries closest and directly involved, European, Middle Eastern to do their duty to eliminate the enemy that is definitely theirs as well as ours.

      A few international runners:

Four Palestinians shot while attempting to stab Israel soldiers. This brings the count to 114 Palestinians killed and 17 Israelis. The Zionist love it. They think they are winning, and maybe they are by the scoreboard. With world attention drawn to the Paris attack, Turkey-Russia dilemma, and presently the California attack, just who is paying attention to the killings in the West Bank, hardly anybody; therefore, the brutal colonial occupation continues practically unreported. Don’t the IDF and the police ever shoot for the legs as the culprit is running away? Apparently not.

Turkey expresses condolences for the death of the Russian pilot.

Putin asserts, “Turkey will regret the downed pilot a long time.”

      Russia, Turkey, trade accusations.

Turkey withdraws condolences. (Can these Guys behave like adults?)

The MH-370 Malaya aircraft search  has been ongoing for nearly two years, The search ship maintains they’re in the right location. (The ssearch for the dead passengers and wreckage has cost hundreds of millions of dollars once involving seven countries. Haven’t we had enough of it)

I am heading to Malacca tomorrow for surgery, You all take care now.

      All the Best.

      Ron
