Greetings Readers,
Colin Powell’s email account was hacked this week and it revealed personal comments meant to be private, but nevertheless revealed the feelings of the general. He called Donald Trump a ‘National Disgrace’ and referred to Hillary Clinton as a Mafia Boss who makes mistakes with an air of ‘Hubris.’ Powell was also irritated by her attempt to intangel him in her e-mail scandal.
As a follow-on to a conflict between he and FOx contributor General Flynn over military strategy was mentioned in the hacked correspondence. Later during a press conference Obama seemingly backed Powell by calling Flynn a ‘Nutty’ Right-winger. I identify with the last comment. Flynn heads a group of retired staff officers who would have two divisions of U. S. troops on the ground in Iraq tomorrow to fight ISIS if they could.
The Campaign Thus Far:
I have a good word for this ridiculously, at times silly, overly-long campaign America should be ashamed of, the word is ‘Farcical.’
Trump promises 25 million new jobs and four percent growth, increased social care and other services to the people and corrporate welfare he loves so much, and, and tax cuts. One can hardily believe a word candidates speak out of their mouths in an election year. While they talk, backbite, and argue, the system goes on like clockwork. Nothing much changes.
Trump is an international pariah, disliked and believed dangerous. No one abroad wants his fingers on the nuclear trigger.
Rationality:
The most rational, logical, commentary came from none other than The Putin this past week when he said during an interview he ‘humorously wonders at EU-NATO’s great fear of Russia being a threat to them. The EU-NATO has over a 850 million population, and Russia has only a 168 million citizens. The U. S. and Europe’s fears are not in the least justifiable. It’s propaganda in order to increase military spending in these countries and a redirection from bickering with internal economic troubles.
As I have informed readers and others, Crimea and also the Ukraine have been a part of Russia since the Ice Age. These countries speak Russian or a form of Slavic. The knowledgeable media listener hears so much bull these days one who knows is amazed at the gullibility of the unthinking public. People are like sheep don’t know and are unaware of history and basic facts.
I somewhat have a slight suspicion Obama has some regard, sympathy, or just plain understanding for Muslims. As a child living in Indonesia he may have though it comical to see at a distance a group or groups of Muslims solumnly banging their heads on to the floor in prayer and wondered of their robotic moves. At first I wondered too. By count I have worked and lived in Muslim counties, let me recount, over 30 years and am still a dedicated American and Atheist. It’s part of life and life’s experiences. During most of that time I have been an Existentialist, but the average person has not the slightest idea of what it is or what it means. Within its criteria is the obligation to tell the truth, may the chips fall were they may.
All the Best.
Ron Miller.
