    • Trump, A Bull in a China Shop.

      Greetings Readers:

As in the overly long campaign, I hated to write about Trump, as well as Clinton whom I though of as near equally unfavorable to be a candidate for the presidency. But Trump is in all probability the worst choice. He is a loose cannon and in the campaign flew by the seat of his pants. He sent out some very bad signs loaded with exaggerations, lies, and promises to his following he cannot possibly keep.

Currently he spats with everyone including the CIA, and says he’s a smart person and doesn’t need the daily briefings. In my humble opinion, Trump possess other significant faults besides spatting involving his positions on China, Russia, the economy, environment, and immigration. He at times appears to be an egotistical loony, and jumps to conclusions without thinking issues through. I suspect there may also be a paranoid streak in his behavior which could readily manifest itself during strategic domestic and international policies as it has shown in Trump’s personality traits. When things start going south for him and his administration they may well reveal themselves as let’s say, seeing enemies that are merely the usual democratic-liberal opposition. He’s also the kind of fellow who bears a grudge. Jack Kennedy once said “Forgive your enemies, but don’t forget them.’ In all probability it appears Trump cannot do both, ‘forget nor forgive.’

We’ve only seen the beginning. There is more confusion and uncertainty ahead.

I like and agree with some of his projected policies that he hopes to accomplish once in office. Bring back jobs he feels belong to Americans and a lengthy waiting period for Congress and Administration officials before they return as lobbyists. (They need them, there are only 16,000 registered in Washington DC) Other administrations didn’t want to offend big hitters leaving their lucrative power offices. The formers could not live on unemployment insurance for long of course, because they have tasted the big money during political careers and or during most of their miliary assignments.

Moreover Romney will not be a Secretary of State. It was never intended to be, so there is no surprise there. He is an outsider who severely criticized Trump from the beginning. (Notice it leaked recently Donald demanded an apology from Mitt)  Trump demands absolute loyalty from his nominees and will get it even as the Right and Center cat-fight in the White House. He encouraged Romney, the moderate number one spokesman member of the GOP, and in less than so many words indicated Romney as a failed second rator. The phone calls and trip to NYC were all a show to humiliate the ex-presidential candidate.

The Trump team nominees who will be in positions of influence and could possibly do irreparable harm to the citizens of this fair United States are as follows:

Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State;  James, ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis, Secretary of Defense; Mike Pompeo, Director, CIA;  Jeff Sessions, Attorney General,  Steve Bannon, White House strategist;  Scott Pruit, Secretary for the EPA;  Michael Flynn, Security Advisor; Stephen Mnucin. Secretary Treasury; Ryan Zinke, Secretary of Interior; and Mike ‘Brain Freeze Perry, Energy Secretary. As an added note, Ben Carter, HUD;  DeVot, Education have never held any agency positions. And Sarah Palin is being considered as Director of veterans Administration. Isn’t that nice?

CNN, Flash: ‘Nuclear capable Chinese jets fly over disputed China Sea Islands.’ Ladies and Gentlemen, do we need this news? The U. S. has been doing it for decades and so have they.

      All the Best.

      Ron Miller
