*One personal comment:
I always thought the Electoral College was flawed. In a democracy the majority of the nation’s voters must choose the winner as in most any other country. It’s only sensible to do so; however, the inpatient public driven by the Media wants dramatic speedy results. So, the U. S. is stuck with a politically motivated system nobody else really, really desires but the members in the political parties.
But not to worry voter folks, not like some other past elections, in this case it makes little difference because it is the same monolithic Party joined at the hip since inception, or should I say deception? The differences between them are the bickerings of wedge issues, minutia, or seemingly trivial editing of laws, mostly financial, for the benefit of the few over the many, costing American taxpayers in the end, and I mean in the end. (As one politician, name withheld, said ‘I like wedge issues, they take a lot of time away from the real important issues)
Clinton and Trump were the two worst candidates in American History. For some unknown or only suspected reason it’s not bandied about by the media these days is it?
That’s because I would assume the Democrats and Republicans who control them are embarrassed, contrite, or feel somewhat guilty for their nominee selections, as well as the confused, presently frustrated American public who voted for them. Yes, both candidates doggedly barked out there popular-populus messages to their supporters and look what we got. Of the two candidates the U. S. elected the wrong dog.
All the Best.
Ron.
