Greetings Readers,
What does Trump desire and look forward to? By all indications Donald wants power, and control and never ever one of his orders disobeyed. He has convinced himself he is always right. I believe Trump approves and yearns to be as a Putin, a Netanyahu, and Duarte. These populous leaders have used the same methods by which Trump aspired and acquired the presidency of the United States. These strong men utilized strategies to frighten citizen voters with fear and nationalism, they first described their country as dysfunctional and going to hell without them governing it:
In Putin’s Russia the fear begins with NATO encroachment, the big bad West, and old style Soviet nationalism; Nethanyahu’s control strategy over Israel is ‘We Zionist are surrounded by Arab enemies by which we’ll never make peace, and the world does not like Jews, America the exception, but Benjimin repeatedly, says ‘voters, supporters don’t be concerned because I am your protector; Independent Duarte says, ‘I will protect you from evil in any way I can and better not cross me because opponents have done less and are not round any longer.’
I would venture to say, these leaders have murdered, tortured, and or, given direct orders to do the deeds. Their atrocities were done in accordance with their dictatorial ideology. America does not have this dictatorial ideology yet. I will concede a few of these executions were justifiable, but certainly not in every case. Trump relates to these strong men and by choice will attempt to emulate to be one of them.
We, liberals and conservatives, have to give Trump credit for his initiative in understanding the neglected problems the government faces, and according to him views these deficiencies need immediate attention and are most vital to solve for America’s long-term survival, as ridiculous as that may sound for the number one economic and military superpower in the world today. Trump gets high marks for getting right to the point and does not hesitate to take aggressive measures as he presently does in the two weeks he has held office. This impresses the public and his advocates by quickly bring out America’s shortfalls and immediately addressing them culminating in effective or defective results of which we have yet to see. Trump does not sit on his hands.
President Trump frequently shamelessly lies and exaggerates without apology or remorse, and surely believes if he repeats them enough they will eventually be believed by people or somewhat accepted by them. After all he is the president. Buba, ‘Well he’s the president, there must be some truth in what he says to take issue with that. The president must know a lot more than we do on that.’
Within his electorate and with most faithful supporters people seem to take him at his word, the crowd was larger, or millions of illegals voted, the entire Media is against me, EPA communications should be blacked out, and many, many other petty untrue statements that no prospective or officed president should be involved in or bothered with. He wants egotistical perfection in an imperfect universe, done his way.
Undoubtedly during a half-dozen administrations past there was negligence in mainly not realizing the significant discontent with slow but consistent losses of permanent jobs, lower wages, and gender inequality, so because of that we have elected a Trump. Many insiders and outsiders, Sanders, Nader, and my brother Frank, warned us these were arising issues of importance that required addressing and not kicking the can down the road.
The Wall Streeter, the Media, the Unions were complicit while the politicians in the DC swamp just let the issues pass from one election to another while luxuriating in their private offices on Capital Hill expecting the next campaign donation from a corporate America that was collecting profits hand over fist by hiring overseas workers for peanuts. Not yet to mention overseas investments. The politicians mostly slept while the lower and medium classes smoldered. .
As we enter the next phase of Trumpism, who are his friends? White neglected unemployed worker folks whom have felt dispossessed, corporate heads, banks, and the Military-Industial Complex. Forces as these will be requiring, will be expecting, sky-high profits, due to promised tax breaks and government allocations from Trump’s generous administration. These are not pawns to be taken for granted or ignored, but authoritative groups of power players in the Washington Beltway, New York, and the Pentagon that have priority over our everyday lives. Probably more so than ever before in the past, ala George Bush. Here lies the eminence challenge for democratic people of principle to turn the tide.
In addition, what are Trump’s insiders wishing for? Perhaps, and this is my own personal speculation, a terrorist incident of significant proportions on American soil killing dozens, or a failed, but close, assassination attempt on a key Trump administration official, a vicious attack at an American Embassy location, a large-scale bloody anti-Trump riot predicating a clamp-down on individual freedoms, and national security awareness to alterative rules and regulations, some unconstitutional against individuals, organizations, perhaps the Media or some of the discontented public leading to a police state atmosphere. While in an emotional speech Trump would say ‘I told you this would happen and we will take aggressive measures to arrest or execute those responsible for this horrendous terrorist attack. I need your full unquesting support and cooperation to bring these villans to justice. Where is Giuliani? Follow me and I will make America great again, safe again. and I will fix the left overs from the Obama administration, the worst in U. S. history.*
With friends like President Trump the American public does not need enemies. When the going starts gets tough Trump’s weapon against the unruly lowest category of the 99% will be benign neglect mixed with the bully pulpit he is so good at, and tweetish misdirection, while the one per cent reside in luxurious opulence under Trump’s isolationist dream, and domestic free wheeling capitalism.
In the future, given Trump’s careless, incautious, some say stumbling, flare for international diplomacy there will be significant chances for conflict, interventions, and step up war. His domestic policies can hurt America, but his International policies to make America great can kill us our dreams, and in the making a police state. Will Donald stop short of foreign aggressiveness or runaway capitalism? Will it be guns or rancid butter?
All the best.
Ron Miller.
* In the closing of this diatribe, I will write we own former President Obama a debt of gratitude. Taking office after George W. Bush a great deal of mess was left on his plate for Obama including two wars which he mistakenly initiated and are still ongoing, and the worst Recession in American history, with unemployment at 10% plus. currently it is down to 4.7 and the Dow over 20,000, some of the lowest fuel price ever. The EPA was cracking active under his direction, global warming was being addressed. (It was a crime during wartime, Bush provided a large tax break to his rich friends) But placed above all, above all, under Obama the U. S. had the lowest military death rate since Eisenhower. Obama was extremely cautious as most intrencher presidents are, but he was also a practical peace maker. In the future we may find Chaps like him hard to find. He was the not the kind of guy who would grab a women by the pussy and say, ‘Well I can do it, because I’m a Star.’
