      Greeting Readers,

President Trump’s address to Congress was an excellent piece of work, well produced and orchestrated. He appeared presidential and I agreed with much of what trump said, particularly in the first half of his speech, thereafter came the deficiencies in his highly boasted and blotted programs and policies. We have to admit a new era of Trump government is at hand and here to stay.

Can Trump live up to the many promises he has made during the campaign and in his first Congressional speech while keeping within a reasonable lean government budget?  Frankly not, but let him try.

I personally and firmly disagree with his projected tax give-a-way to Wall Street corporations and with his coddling of the Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex that is governing America’s economy and international relations. I noted his dramatic display of support for the military by the rather lengthy appearance of the young widow whose soldier-Seal husband was killed during a mission in Yemen. I ask an elementary question, what was the commando doing in Yemen in the first place? There is nothing there for us as Americans for being deployed in Yemen.* It’s a civil war between Sunnis and Shiite factions. Allow Saudi Arabia and Iran to fight it out. I am certain under this president the U. S. will increasing be involved in the Middle East as well as the South China Sea than ever before. We can only hope Trump will not place numerous boots on the ground and complicate our present conflicts while pushing further into the quagmire that is the Middle East.  With thousands of body bags coming home Trump, combined with other missteps, could be out on his ear.

Getting back to the address, rational, concerned Americans should, most vigorously object to Trump’s stripping of the EPA for the benefit of runaway big business, and his thin skin approach to whomever he determines to be his or the people’s enemy: The Press, Democrats, personalities, and China. He often criticizes for petty reasons not as other presidents of the United states in the past who appeared contained, rational, and socially mannered. Trump talks big, now let’s see what he does.

The much maligned Obama Affordable Health Care Program is partly justifiable by way of the overrun in cost and it will be eventually eliminated and replaced by as yet an unknown program. the public can expect a hassle over it and when it is over there will be few concessions made that matter. What will the insurance monopolists propose to replace the existing medical condition regulation within the current program? A big profit issue. As I have stated previously, we must accept what performs best throughout the industrial world and not allow the monopolists to run our health care system. In Canada and in Europe the one payer system works. These countries have a cost factor of 13% of GDP while in the U. S. it is approximately 18% a significant cost saving of millions of dollars for the taxpayer should we follow suit, with no concern or worry for costs and premiums unless you require private insurance in addition or are fortunate to have other means.

Trump opened the address by boasting he had reduced the cost of the Lockheed F-35. Actually the mechanism for reduction was negotiated back on 19 December before Trump took office, but he took the  credit. He secured for himself other actions Obama had initiated before leaving office as the round-up of criminal illegals that did not come about until Trump took over. It is correct 94 million Americans are out of the labor force, but most do not want work, are retired, schooling, disabled, or mothers staying at home to take care of children.  The statement is misleading at best. Moreover, cutting regulations in the Food and Drug Administration will not benefit patient health is obvious and will undoubtedly lower inspections, research, and standards as the organization loses knowledgeable staff. There were other errors in Trumps speech. He claimed the trade deficit to be 800 billion dollars. Last year it was approximately 550 billion.

      * Trump stated a significant amount of classified Al Qaeda intelligence was gathered during the dangerous Yemen commando raid. He knows the public will not probe or question the findings. No intelligence or military organization would disclose such valuable information to the public. However my sources reveal the mission and what was swept up by the raid. The mission was to kill everyone in sight. They did. Secondly, the most classified piece of material confiscated was ten pages of meeting minutes that discussed the monthly stationary allowance and attendees were urged to conserve stationary items: i. e. pens, paper, and noted was ‘Straight pins are to be used in place of paperclips when the pages of a letter submittal or a report are less than five just as our bother terrorist do in Syria. (If you were ever in the Middle East or Asia you’ll know what I mean. A little dark humor there)

      All the Best.
