Greetings Readers,
President Donald Trump can pull his confused crisis prone administration out of the fire of uncertainty by reversing his strategy domestically and internationally.
Nuclear peace in Asia, at this time, is far more important than any domestic issue we face. Trump has shown the world the stick and presently it is time for the carrot. As in these pages I have advocated a meeting with Kim Jong Un in Hawaii or Midway to find a coordinated agreement between the Korean leader and the president. It is the only way to find true peace in the region. For the world’s superpower and a poverty-stricken rogue state of 28 million people there can be many fruitful inducements and compromises to be had by both parties. Trump should blink first.
The North Korea people and its leadership did not arise one morning and say we hate the United States, they have had ample reason for doing so. Read my blog of last week “What Comes Around Goes Around” and make your own reasonable determination.
Trump has the opportunity to become a peacemaker in the eyes of the American people, our allies, and the world. This does not portend or encourage Wall Street and the military-industrial-complex, but it is the right thing to do for long-term peace in Asia. The erratic Trump has the opportunity to proceed into the history books as one the most exciting and adept presidents of the United States should he take this initiative, and rid himself of the Alt-Right trap the New York billionaire has fallen into.
All the Best.
